Synopsis for episode 8 season finale

All of our favourite characters will be featured in Kin's season finale. According to the official synopsis released by RTE for the season finale: "The conflict is put into overdrive as Michael and Jimmy find common ground. Amanda proposes an unexpected partnership for mutual survival.

"Anthony and Nikita try to come to terms with the consequences of their actions."

In the penultimate episode of the season, RTE viewers are already counting down the days for season 3 after they were left impressed by all the clever twists and turns that the show has taken so far. Here's what happened last week and what may happen this week;

*Slight Spoilers Ahead*

Last week, Bren (Francis Magee) sent his grandson Anthony (Mark McKenna Jr) and a getaway driver to kill two rival assassins. While it initially appears the lads successfully whacked their competition, the episode ended on a cliffhanger as we saw them hit a woman with their car and then flee the scene. It looks like young Anthony could be in a spot of bother with his grandfather over this, and we'll have to wait and see exactly what the consequences are.

Bren has been causing havoc since his release from prison, much to the frustration of family de facto leader Amanda (Clare Dunne) and in the season finale he's sure to ruffle more feathers. Meanwhile, Birdie (Maria Doyle Kennedy) visits a family member of Kem's girlfriend at their workplace, where she'll desperately try to get a statement retracted.

Elsewhere, Viking (Sam Keely) tries to reconcile with girlfriend Nikita (Yasmin Seky).

It could be time for some brotherly bonding, as Jimmy (Emmet J. Scanlon) and Michael (Charlie Cox) find common ground as the Kinsellas struggle to protect their own.

Nuray Patuk arrives back in Dublin to see the Kinsellas (RTE)

And there's trouble afoot for the Kinsellas as their enemy Nuray Batuk (Öykü Karayel) is back in Dublin to settle a score following the death of her father, and she seems determined to establish herself as the rightful leader of the Turkish cartel.

Kin's season two finale will air this Sunday, 7 May at 9.30pm on RTE One and the RTE Player.
