MUMBAI: With the BMC issuing work orders for six sewage treatment plant (STP) projects worth more than Rs 25,000 crore, the Congress has asked the Supreme Court to direct the municipal corporation to form a new peer review committee (PRC) to study its estimates for the project in a fair and transparent manner.
The Congress, through its legal cell functionary Tushar Kadam, had filed an intervention application in the SC over cost escalation, lack of transparency in tenders and cartelisation by bidding companies.
