Rajasthan Royals won the opening bid in the IPL 2024 Auction held in Dubai on Tuesday. The inaugural season winners purchased West Indies skipper Rovman Powell for a whopping Rs 7.4 crore in what was the first purchase of the record-breaking auction.
Royals then spent big sums on India batter Shubham Dubey, who became one of the few crorepati uncapped players in the auction. Dubey was bought for a staggering Rs 5.8 crore by the Royals. They also added two more overseas players, but on relatively cheap prices.
