Roz Purcell uses house savings to buy forest

Roz Purcell has announced that she used her house savings to buy a forest and will continue to live with her boyfriend.

She recently did an Instagram Q&A with her fans. One asked if she would ever move to the countryside in the future, but Roz admitted she already spent her house savings “on something else”.

The former Miss Ireland said: “Okay I'm not going to drag this on any longer because I know you're like just tell us. So yeah I bought a forest so it wouldn't get knocked down so I'm going to live in a tree house when I'm older.”

Roz said she doesn’t need a home because she lives with her boyfriend. She also highlighted that she is extremely lucky to be in the financial situation she’s in so she can save the forest.

She added: “Also very conscious that I can spend my savings to buy a forest that I am not in dire need of a home. I do live with my boyfriend. I do want to say that because I know there are people who are coming to my DMs like, 'Well it's well for some' and I totally get that. So I am just going to make a point of it now and say I am very lucky that I can spend my savings on protecting a woodland.”

The Clonmel lady continued to explain that she has “no rational mind and can't say no to nature or animals”. She continued to tell her 539,000 followers: “It's not like a huge forest now. I'm not well off but I felt like I couldn't not do it.

“Also hoping to rescue some woodland pigs to live their best life - I want name suggestions. I am very aware that I am very lucky that I can spend my savings to conserve some woodlands.

"I also have no rational mind and can't say no to nature or animals. And I completely agree I am very lucky I can do that.”
