Prince Harry's allocated seat for the King's Coronation last month caused "much hilarity" among the royal family after his view was obscured by Princess Anne's feathered hat, a royal source has claimed.
Royal expert Roya Nikkhha claims a source alleged that the position of the plumage headpiece left the Firm in stitches due to the one person it conveniently ended up covering, the Express reports.
She quoted the unknown source, saying despite the Sussexes' controversial claims against the royals in their Netflix docuseries, Harry's tell all memoir and now the Duke's recent court appearance, it was unlikely there would be any harsher "punishment" than the demotion in his seating plan for the occasion.
Ms Nikkhah said: "The King might have booted his son out of Frogmore Cottage and relegated him to the third row at Westminster Abbey for his Coronation behind Princess Anne’s plumed hat.
"A detail that a royal insider says prompted 'much hilarity among the family about where the plume ended up and what it ended up obscuring'."
Both Harry and Meghan Markle still hold their royal titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex along with their kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, despite the family all living in the US.
However, the Express reports that an alleged close source of King Charles said, that despite his apparent acceptance of his son's bold decisions, he talks about him all the time.
The source said: "I don’t think we’ve moved past sad and bewildered, but there’s a bit more frustration at his behaviour, because it just keeps going.”
The 38-year-old Duke is also currently in a court battle with MGN as he took to the stand for two days last week in London making him the first senior royal in over two decades to personally appear in court proceedings.
Harry has been flying back and forth from California to the High Court for the trial but did not have the chance to reconcile with his father as he took a holiday to his private villa in Romania after a busy few months as the new monarch.
The King was seen meeting with people on Tuesday in the village of his Romanian holiday who are keeping their traditional craft skills alive.
His solo visit without Camilla is the first time the King has returned to Romania in 25 years and is also his first overseas trips since his historical Coronation on May 6.
The event, which took place on June 6, was organised by The Prince's Foundation charity and took place in the Transylvanian village of Viscri.
