Over the centuries, the Royal Family have owned countless stunning properties across the UK. We know the most famous ones well as they are now home to the current generation of royals, including Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, but others are often forgotten.
Some are still in regular use, either as second homes or holiday destinations, a number of them have been sold off or repurposed into everything from restaurants to museums. One such home is Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. During her impressive 96 years, the late Queen never visited Osborne despite its impressive royal connections and the fact that it was a favourite home of Queen Victoria.
Even though Her Majesty never visited Osborne, other royals, such as The Queen Consort and The Earl and Countess of Wessex, have spent time there.
