The Queen of Denmark has celebrated 50 years on the throne by releasing official portraits with her family. The royal palace released two pictures to mark Queen Margrethe of Denmark's Golden Jubilee.
The Express reports that royal fans have reacted to the newly-released images, particularly due to the Danish Royal Family's recent title row. One Twitter user, replying to an original tweet by Majesty Magazine, described the photographs as "stunning".
Another said: "Lovely photos to close out Her Majesty's Jubilee year!!". Another user described the images as "classy".
The images have been released after a tumultuous few months for the Danish Royal Family. Earlier this year, the Queen stripped her son Joachim and his wife Marie's four children of their royal titles.
Joachim spoke out publicly against his mother's decision amid reports that a feud had begun between him and his brother, Prince Frederik, over the decision. Despite the row, the new photographs show both of the Queen's son present, as well as their wives.
