The Royal Bank and Scotland and NatWest apps are currently down according to customers, leaving them unable to login or check their bank accounts.
Starting around 8.30am on Tuesday morning, many consumers were unable to access their finances — with over 1,000 NatWest customers reporting problems according to DownDetector.
The majority of these complaints were to do with issues with the mobile app specifically, while a further portion of them were in reference to online banking.

Since this morning, nearly 1,000 RBS customers have logged similar complaints.
Many users have been unable to transfer money to other accounts, while others have been receiving error messages.
The reason both banks are down at the same time is likely due to the fact that they both operate on the same system.

Similarly, NatWest responded to one frustrated user by stating: "We are working as quickly as we can to respond to all customers regarding this incident.
"I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. You can use our telephone service or e-banking in the mean time to manage your accounts. Thank you for your patience again."
