Frank Lampard's Everton side battled to a 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Sunday, delivering three points which could be vital in the relegation battle against Leeds United and Everton. Jordan Pickford pulled off two superb saves to maintain Everton's clean sheet but it was his time-wasting that former Manchester United man Roy Keane has picked up on.
The ex-midfielder-turned-pundit praised the Everton goalkeeper for his saves but called other aspects of his performance 'disgraceful'. However, he explained that he 'gets it' as Everton were in a situation of being desperate for points to put pressure back onto Leeds and Burnley. Speaking on Sky Sports, he said:
"Every time there was an injury, they were staying down for ages. Pickford made some great saves, but his time-wasting was disgraceful.

"But I totally get it. They must win a game of football. I think where Everton are, you're fighting for your lives, fighting for survival, for Frank, the players and for the supporters yesterday."
Everton are now just two points behind Leeds, with a gentler final run of fixtures, as well as a game-in-hand. Jesse Marsch 's side now need to pick up some unlikely results of their own in order to force Everton to react again
