Roy Keane slams Marcus Rashford for 'smiling too much'

Roy Keane tore into Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford for 'smiling too much' ahead of Manchester United's clash with Chelsea at Old Trafford this evening.

Rashford has been the subject of criticism from Keane throughout this season, with the former United captain branding Rashford's performance against Arsenal as being 'like a child'.

"I'm really frustrated with him," said Keane, who is working as a pundit for Sky Sports this evening.

"Every time I see Marcus warming up, he's always smiling"

Keane continued, "You smile when you score or do something."

"And what we always used to say about Rashford when he first burst on the scene, was that he affects games."

"He doesn't affect games anymore, he does very little."

"In his performance last week against Arsenal, he played like a child, an immature kid".

When asked by Dave Jones whether a player smiling simply means he is relaxed, Keane replied," He's always smiling in the warm-up, but I go back to it, you're going to war when you play."

Keane saved his most damming criticism for his old club when he spoke about Antonio Rudiger. The German will leave Chelsea at the end of the season and is seemingly on his way to Real Madrid.

When asked if United should have tried to sign Rudiger, Keane answered "I think United have done, but he thought 'No, I want to win trophies'.

Keane's days on our TV screens as a pundit may be coming to an end soon, given he is the favourite to become the new Hibernian manager after the dismissal of Shaun Maloney. If he does take the job, Keano's savage takedowns of United will be greatly missed by viewers.
