Roy Keane was on hand with a classic quick-witted response to Jack Grealish after the playmaker asked him to join Manchester City in their Premier League title celebrations.
City clinched their fourth league triumph in five years on Sunday but it was far from a simple affair on a dramatic final day of the season. Pep Guardiola's side went two goals down against Aston Villa, which had left the door open for Liverpool to take top spot, though they were being held by Wolves at Anfield.
Before the Merseyside outfit had taken the lead to really pile on the pressure, City had mounted an incredible comeback with substitute Ilkay Gundogan scoring twice and a Rodri rocket completing a six-minute turnaround. Liverpool eventually ran out 3-1 winners but it mattered not and there were jubilant scenes on the final whistle as the Blues won the league by a single point.

Manchester United legend Keane was on punditry duty for that match and was on the pitch with his Sky Sports colleagues Gary Neville, Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp to take in the celebrations and grab a word with the City stars. One such player was Grealish who, despite being an unused substitute in the match, remained overjoyed at having won his first Premier League trophy.
The 26-year-old was looking forward to the night's celebrations and even asked Keane to join him on a night out. Grealish and former Villa teammate Richards were giddy with excitement as Redknapp pointed to the pair and said: “These two heading out tonight, I’m worried.”
Grealish responded: “And Roy. He’s coming!" To which Neville added: “If he is out, I am out.” However, Keane was quick with the perfect excuse to get out of the celebrations, as he quipped: “I’m driving," which provoked laughter from all.
But Keane did provide Grealish with a bit of useful advice ahead of his big night: “Keep off the top shelf, stick with beer.” However, Grealish didn't sound likely to take it, as he replied: “Not for the next three nights, no chance, maybe four.”
Keane concluded: “Enjoy it, Jack, enjoy it, why not. Fantastic, well done.”
