Roy Keane believes Mason Mount would not significantly improve Manchester United's midfield, urging his former side to go all out for Declan Rice and Harry Kane.
United look set for a summer of heavy investment as Erik ten Hag attempts to push his side to the next level. A 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday secured third place in the Premier League, but there is still some way to go before they can genuinely challenge Manchester City for the title.
Ten Hag is thought to want at least two major signings ahead of next season, with a world-class goalscorer the priority and a technical midfielder not far behind. Tottenham striker Kane has long been the Dutchman's prime target for the former role, while recent reports have linked Mount with a move to Old Trafford.
