Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has made a dig against London clubs West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur following the Hammers’ FA Cup defeat to the Red Devils on Wednesday night.
With a quarter-final clash at home to Fulham up for grabs, West Ham led for much of the second half through Said Benrahma’s goal, only for United to come from behind and win 3-1 with goals from Nayef Aguerd (own goal), Alejandro Garnacho and Fred in the final 13 minutes of the tie.
It was not until United manager Erik ten Hag turned to the likes of Casemiro, Marcus Rashford and Lisandro Martinez were introduced in the second half that helped the recent 2023 Carabao Cup winners seal a late win.

Despite the Hammers taking United to the wire, ex-Red Devils captain Keane, who made 480 appearances for the club between 1993 and 2006, says that West Ham were never going to win and got “giddy”, adding that he has seen examples in Tottenham as another club get over-excited in their failed attempts of trying to beat Ten Hag’s side.
“It would never happen, I have seen it all before,” Keane told ITV.
“They come, get a bit giddy, have opportunities, not just West Ham, but the Spurs’ of this world, they get possession, one or two chances, they get plaudits, they end up getting beaten.
“Defensively West Ham were shocking, absolutely useless and gave away three goals. I have seen it over the years, but it’s laughable.”
United have lost just twice in their last 32 matches in all competitions, drawing five and winning the other 25. They have not lost at home since being beaten by Real Sociedad in the Champions League at the start of September. In their last 20 home matches, they have won 18 and drawn just twice.
