Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane tore into Aaron Wan-Bissaka during Sunday's match against Arsenal after the full-back was "caught napping" during Sunday's dramatic 3-2 defeat at the Emirates.
Marcus Rashford fired United into an early lead with a thunderous strike from range but Eddie Nketiah quickly headed the hosts back onto level terms after ghosting in at the back post.
Wan-Bissaka was the man nearest to Nketiah but failed to prevent the Gunners academy graduate from equalising. And the right-back, who has earned plenty of praise following a string of improved performances in recent weeks, was absolutely savaged by Keane, who accused him of lacking awareness during the half-time break.
Keane told Sky Sports: "It’s just his lack of awareness. It’s as if he can’t believe someone’s coming around the back of him, because he can see him, he just dozes off. A silly lack of concentration, considering we praise him saying he’s a good defender."
The Irishman then added: "Of course he [Wan-Bissaka] sees him [Nketiah]. You have to be aware of him, that’s his job, this is big boy stuff, these are big moments, do your job, go and attack the ball."
The goal came from a corner which was given away after Wan-Bissaka and David de Gea attempted to play their way out from the back under pressure.
Jamie Redknapp, who was also analysing the game, questioned United's motives for doing so and pointed out that Wan-Bissaka was put in a difficult position by De Gea's decision to pass the ball to him with Arsenal pressing so aggressively.

The former Liverpool man assessed: "I struggle with this one, where you’ve got an outfield player giving it back to the goalkeeper. He passes it out to the right back, Wan-Bissaka - the ball’s not his friend anyway, he doesn’t want it in that situation.
"They press him really well, Arsenal, they get the ball back and that’s where they get that little bit of success. It’s self-inflicted, they win the corner and then obviously they get the goal from that, but it was good pressure and a lovely piece of play from Arsenal after that."
Nketiah's equaliser ensured the two sides headed in level at the break but a long-range thunderbolt from Bukayo Saka was enough to nudge Arsenal into a 2-1 lead in the 53rd minute.
United weren't behind for long, though, and restored parity following an error from Aaron Ramsdale, who punched a corner directly into the path of former Gunners target Lisandro Martinez.
With time running out it was Nketiah who stabbed home his second goal of the game to pinch a priceless win for the Gunners.
