Former Manchester United and Northern Ireland goalkeeper Roy Carroll proved age is no barrier after he was named in Ballinamallard United's starting line-up for Monday's Championship clash with Annagh United.
The 45-year-old made his debut for Harry McConkey's team on their trip to the BMG Arena.
Unfortunately for Carroll it would only turn out to be a cameo appearance as he was forced off injured in the first half with Annagh 1-0 up.

Carroll's last football came in the Irish Premiership with Dungannon Swifts, while he previously featured for Mid Ulster League club Mindwell FC alongside former teammate Keith Gillespie.
The veteran keeper's career had started with Fivemiletown United and Ballinamallard before he earned a move across the water.
He played for clubs including Hull City, Wigan Athletic and Manchester United, while Carroll also played in Greece, Scotland and Denmark before joining Linfield in July 2016.
He took a career break after the Blues before linking up with Gillespie at Mindwell, a club launched to help people with mental health.
He joined Dungannon Swifts in January 2021 before taking over from Steve Harper as Northern Ireland senior goalkeeping coach that summer.
Carroll then took up the role of Irish FA Head Goalkeeper Development Coach last year and has worked as goalkeeping coach with Northern Ireland’s Under 19 and U17 teams.
He won 45 caps for his country and also played for Northern Ireland 11 times at U21 level.
Northern Ireland U17 and U19 manager Gerard Lyttle told BBC Sportsound: "I couldn't believe it when I saw it because he is in our staff group chat.
"Nothing surprises me from Roy. He is a maniac and mad. It's unbelievable, and he will get some stick. He has come on and then had to go off.
"I messaged him saying as long as he wasn't sent off."
