EastEnders actress Rita Simons has revealed she could be about to make a huge soap comeback, but it wouldn't be on the BBC soap.
Rita did reprise her role as Roxy Mitchell on the Walford soap this week as part of a special scene, while the dead character was a figment of her daughter Amy Mitchell's imagination.
But she's unclear on a full-time return amid viewers begging bosses to reverse Roxy's death in 2017, desperate to see her back.
That said fans may soon see actress Rita back onscreen and back in soap land - but it might not be EastEnders.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Friday, Rita let slip that she has been approached by another soap while she remained coy on the details.
As she addressed a future EastEnders return she remained unsure, before hinting she could soon have some big news about a rival series.
GMB host Adil Ray had said to her: "I've heard Rita you’ve got another soap that has been knocking on your door..."
Rita replied: "Yes," before bursting into laughter and clearly trying to hide something.
Adil quizzed if it was Coronation Street or Emmerdale, asking: "Is it one not far from this channel?"
But Rita insisted: "I can't tell you," leading to Adil asking: "How’s your Manchester accent?" with her adding: "I'm not telling you."
Rita then said: "When I have something to tell you I will tell you, all I will say for now is I've left it so the public finally understands Roxy may not be dead.
"So in the future who knows, but right now I am really having a lovely time not there, and potentially going somewhere else but the fans have been amazing, and I did it for them."
Fans were treated to the return of Roxy in the latest episode as Amy confided in her late mother during a therapy session, while Roxy was a figment of her imagination.
But the scene sparked a flurry of tweets calling for the soap to bring back Roxy full-time six years on from her demise.
Many called for a fake death twist to lead to Roxy's return, desperate to have her back onscreen after the cameo scene.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
