Row over lawyers: Delhi lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena office says taking normal procedural time

NEW DELHI: The rift between the LG and the AAP began on the appointment of standing counsel and public prosecutors. "The new LG has stayed this list saying he would decide the new appointments. The LG has power to take decisions in the domains of land, police and law and order. He is bound to act as per the aid and advice of the cabinet in the rest of matters," Atishi, Kalkaji MLA, said.

On Tuesday, Saxena had sent a terse letter to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, responding to Sisodia's letter accusing him of "bulldozing the law" to side with the BJP on the issue of hospitals.
