Sizzling Sunderland striker Ross Stewart is set for his first Scotland call-up.
The frontman has bagged an impressive 22 goals for the Mackems this season.
And that red-hot form is set to see him rewarded with international recognition.
Steve Clarke will invite him to join up with his Scotland squad for the friendly with Poland later this week.
It will cap some rise for the talented 25-year-old who came was at Ardeer Thistle and Kilwinning Rangers before he moved on to St Mirren and was then snapped up by Ross County.
His impressive form with the Staggies saw him win a move to Sunderland last year.
He has been one of Sunderland’s main players in League One and has already attracted big-money bids from the likes of Swansea City.
Clarke was already short of striking options with Kevin Nisbet and Lyndon Dykes also out injured.
David Marshall is also likely to miss out, with St Johnstone keeper Zander Clark the most likely to replace him.
Nottingham Forest defender Scott McKenna is also struggling with injury and a major doubt.
