Rosie O'Donnell has spoken out about the reasoning behind why she won't accept Ellen DeGeneres ' apology after she snubbed her.
Speaking about how she doesn't trust Ellen to be in her world, the 61-year-old American comedian has now spoken out about their feud.
The Emmy winner recently got an apology from former talk show host Ellen, 65, who spoke on The Larry King Show in 2004 and told of how she wasn't pals with Rosie.
Almost two decades ago on his chat show, Larry spoke to Ellen and reportedly asked: " Whatever happened to Rosie O'Donnell's show? She went down the tubes as soon as she came out."
Ellen then responded with: "I don't know Rosie. We're not friends."
But according to Rosie, the pair were and had been extremely close, with her later revealing that the admission hurt her feelings "like a baby" and noting how she didn't really get over it.
And now she has spoken out again after receiving a text from Ellen, who checked in on the comic to see how she was.
"She texted me a few weeks ago checking in, seeing how I’m doing, and I asked her how she’s surviving not being on TV," Rosie told The Hollywood Reporter.
"It’s a big transition. But we’ve had our weirdness in our relationship. I don’t know if it’s jealousy, competition or the fact that she said a mean thing about me once that really hurt my feelings."
Rosie went on to reveal more of what Ellen had messaged her, adding: " She wrote, ‘I’m really sorry, and I don’t remember that.’ I guess she saw me talk about it on Andy Cohen ’s show.
"I remembered it so well, I had T-shirts printed and I gave them to my staff that said ‘I don’t know Rosie. We’re not friends'," she added.
Rosie then spoke of how she knew Ellen's mother when they were friends, and how she had a photo of Ellen holding her son Parker.
"I knew her for so many years. It just felt like I don’t trust this person to be in my world," she went on.
