Hey, you: If you’re not paying attention to what’s going on with Rose Zhang, it’s time.
Because we’ve got some Tiger Woods stuff going on here. I don’t use that lightly, but it’s true.
Because it was nearly two weeks ago that Zhang won a national title — a second one, mind you — for Stanford. That’s right, 13 days ago, Zhang was a 20-year-old winning a second championship.
And then she won an LPGA tournament (the Mizuho Americas Open) on Sunday … in a playoff. How’s THAT for pressure? That’s the first win for a player making her LPGA debut since 1951.
Seriously. Time to pay attention.
Tiger did, on Twitter. So did a bunch of other PGA pros.
Incredible few weeks for Rose Zhang, defends her NCAA title and then wins in her Pro debut. Go card!

What we’re witnessing here could be greatness if this keeps up. I know, I know: It’s one tournament. She’s only 20, and the pressure and attention on her may be sudden an A LOT.
So it’s time to start following along if you haven’t already.
Quick Hits: Heat win Game 2 … Marcell Ozuna stared instead of running … and more.
— The Heat won Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Jeff Van Gundy ranted about hugs, refs missed a blatant goaltending call, and all this talk of preventing Nikola Jokic from passing is “ridiculous” as Erik Spoelstra said.
— Marcell Ozuna stood and watched a hit instead of running out what turned out to be a very long single.
— Sad Terrell Davis became a meme at the Nuggets game.
— Patrick Mahomes had a great reaction to learning he’s one of the AFC’s oldest QBs.
