Rosé Of Blackpink Covers Coldplay In Pachinko Season Two.

Pachinko TV Series 2022

Lee Min-ho stars as Koh Hansu in the acclaimed series 'Pachinko,' based on Min Jin Lee's novel. Apple TV has unveiled the trailer for the second season of 'Pachinko,' featuring a cover of Coldplay's Viva La Vida by Rosé from the popular k-pop group Blackpink.

The storyline follows Sunja, portrayed by Kim Minha, as she navigates life during the Japanese occupation of Korea. Her encounter with Koh Hansu, played by Lee Minho, sets off a chain of events that shape her family's destiny across generations.

The first season garnered 11 international awards, including a Peabody Award and a Critics Choice Award. The series, produced by Media Res, is told in Korean, Japanese, and English, offering a diverse cultural perspective.

In season two, set in 1945 Osaka and 1989 Tokyo, Sunja and her descendants face challenges stemming from their Korean heritage. The cast includes Jin Ha as Solomon, Yuh-Jung Youn as the older Sunja, and Anna Sawai in a prominent role.

The eight-episode second season of 'Pachinko' premieres globally on Aug. 23, with subsequent episodes airing weekly. The series is directed by a talented team, including Leanne Welham, Arvin Chen, and Sang-il Lee.

Blackpink, the k-pop sensation, features Rosé, a Korean-New Zealand artist known for her singing and dancing prowess. Rosé's cover of Viva La Vida adds a unique touch to the series' soundtrack.
