Manon Fiorot will welcome Rose Namajunas to the flyweight division.
Fiorot meets Namajunas at a UFC Fight Night event Sept. 2 at Accor Arena in Paris. Two people with knowledge of the booking recently informed MMA Junkie of the matchup but asked to remain anonymous because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Fiorot (10-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC), who signed a new multi-fight deal with the UFC, will return to action after knee surgery. The French fighter is unbeaten in the octagon and most recently beat former title challenger Katlyn Chookagian last October at UFC 280. Fiorot recently told MMA Junkie she’s interested in fighting Namajunas. Now she will get her wish.
Namajunas (11-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC) hasn’t competed since she lost the strawweight title to Carla Esparza in May 2022 at UFC 274. Prior to that, Namajunas scored back-to-back title-fight wins over current 115-pound champ Zhang Weili.
With the addition, the UFC Paris lineup now includes:
