Who did Clare beat to get here?
They knocked fellow Division Two side Meath out last weekend by a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-9 in front of a home crowd in Ennis.
Clare raced to an early lead with a goal and two points and it was only halfway through the opening half that The Royals scored their first point.
Meath did close the gap to four points by the half and a penalty to kick-start the second half was converted by Conor McGill.
But that was as good as it got for them as Clare responded and saw out the win.
In the aftermath of that result, Andy McEntee resigned bringing an end to a six-year tenure.
