Rory McIlroy's stellar year on the golf course gave his caddie Harry Diamond over two millions reasons to smile.
The Holywood star enjoyed one of the most consistent seasons to date to win both the FedEx Cup and the DP World Tour titles.
It was more vindication, among other things, for McIlroy's faith in his caddie and best friend, Diamond, after previous criticism from some quarters over Diamond's qualification for the role.

But since the pair teamed up after McIlroy's split from his JP Fitzgerald in 2017, they have enjoyed great success together.
These successes have also not harmed Diamond's bank account, with the nightclub owner expected to pocket 10% of the world number one's prize money.
Ironically, though, Diamond was not on McIlroy's bag when McIlroy won the RBC Canadian Open for a second time, in June - his first victory this season.
While Diamond welcomed his second child, Niall O'Connor, a former Ulster rugby player and friend of McIlroy's, filled in to great effect.
But 2012 West of Ireland Championship winner, Diamond, was back at McIlroy's side when the four-time major winner won the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup for a third time in August.
McIlroy earned a cool $18,000,000 for winning the season-long prize, with Diamond expected to have earned $1,800,000 for his role.
A third win on the tour followed for McIlroy at the CJ Cup in October, with the $1,755,000 first prize likely to have pocketed Diamond around $175,500.
McIlroy then turned his attention to the DP World Tour, where he finished in fourth place at the Italian Open, the Dunhill Links Championship and at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship.
It was enough for McIlroy to be crowned the European No. 1 once again and collect the €1,900,000 bonus.
McIlroy earned $28,354,566 on the PGA Tour in 2022, excluding the $12 million he pocketed as part of the tour's Player Impact Program.
On the DP World Tour, excluding the major championships which are also part of the PGA Tour's schedule, McIlroy earned €3,970,752.09.
McIlroy's total earnings from both tours in 2022 comes to €31,196,806, of which Diamond is expected to have pocketed around €2,750,000 or £2,370,000.
At the end of August, the total prizemoney for the season on the PGA Tour was announced with Scottie Scheffler at No.1 at the time. If Diamond's earnings were ranked on the list, he would have came in just ahead of England's Tommy Fleetwood in 42nd place..
"I think over the years I've proven I know what I'm doing out here," said Rory McIlroy on the subject of his caddie recently.
"I wouldn't have him on the bag if I didn't think he was good at what he did.
"Harry's a really calming presence to have by my side. He's grown into his role really well. I think our record speaks for itself. We've won a ton. We've won two FedEx Cups together."
