Rory McIlroy admits relationships with Ryder Cup teammates is 'damaged' over LIV

Rory McIlroy admits that his relationship with a number of past Ryder Cup teammates has been damaged over their defection to LIV Golf.

Five members of the 2021 Ryder Cup team that got hammered by team USA have defected to the Saudi backed golf league, while original 2023 captain Henrik Stenson had his captaincy revoked after ditching the European tour in favour of LIV.

Four of those five LIV defectors are in the field at this weeks BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, a fact that McIlroy finds hard to stomach.
