Boyzone singer Ronan Keating has said he doesn’t want to be called a "grandad" – as he breaks his silence for the first time since his son Jack welcomed his first child.
The singer's son Jack, 23, surprised fans earlier this month when he revealed he had welcomed a baby girl, just eight months after appearing on Love Island.
And while hosting Monday's The One Show, Ronan, 46, made reference to his family's new addition while insisting he wants to be called "pops".

When his co-host Jermaine Jenas said: "You're a grandad now," the former Boyzone star replied: "Yes I am. My son had a gorgeous baby."
Jermaine then said: "You prefer to be called something else?" with Ronan responding: "Uh, Pops. We'll go with that. Perfect."
It comes after Jack - who is the eldest of Ronan's three kids with his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly, 49 - announced recently that he had welcomed a daughter.
Jack - who was on Love Island last year - shared a black-and-white photo of himself cradling the newborn baby and wrote: "Welcome to the world my little [princess emoji]."
Ronan - who also has two children with his second wife Storm - was among those who took to the comments section. The father-of-five wrote alongside a heart emoji: "Little cutie."
His ex-wife Yvonne also responded to their son's post on the platform earlier this month. She commented: "I miss her so much already". Yvonne included several heart emojis.
Jack has confirmed he is not with his daughter’s mother.
"My daughter's mother and I are not together however, we look forward to co-parenting together and giving our little girl the best support system that she needs," he explained.
"This is an exciting new chapter for me and my family and I am completely besotted already. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a father and give my daughter the most amazing life."
