This year's Love Island saw the offspring of some famous names competing in the dating show. However, not everyone was happy about some of the comments made on the show relating to those well-known dads.
Gemma Owen, daughter of former England striker Michael Owen, appeared on the show as well as Jack Keating, the son of singer Ronan Keating. In the Villa, talk soon turned to famous dads and, according to reports, Ronan Keating was 'not happy' after his career was discussed.
While Gemma was in from the start of the series and made it to the final of the 2022 show, Jack entered the programme during the Casa Amor segment. After failing to couple up with anyone, the 23-year-old didn't make it to the main villa. While his time on the ITV show may have been cut short, he did manage to gain a lot of attention especially when his association with the famous musician was known. But one comment made about the former Boyzone singer didn't go down well.

Ronan gave Jack his full support about his decision to appear on the show, however, during a conversation with Gemma, Jack began to discuss the state of his dad's career. While Liverpool Echo said Jack spoke " kindly" about his day, he went on to claim he was 'retired'.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Jack said he was 'in the dog house' with his dad after the show. He added: "He was enjoying it and loving it and was proud of me beside the fact I said he was retired halfway through the show.
"He was pretty delighted with everything else that I said. But no he was not happy one bit that I said that, he said he almost fell out of his chair when he first heard that. I was definitely in the dog house for a little bit when I first got back."
Ronan recently discussed the comments and aftermath on BBC's The One Show where he clarified he was still working hard. He said: "He did drop the line that I was retired, that I was shocked about! I nearly fell off my chair! What? I'm doing The One Show next week, I'm in York tonight! No I'm definitely not retired!"
