He recently became a grandparent for the first time and Ronan Keating was gently teased on The One Show by his co-host Jermaine Jenas. Ronan left fans "feeling old" as he shared a sweet two-word response to becoming a grandad at 46.
His son Jack Keating revealed on Thursday March 9 that he had become a dad less than a year after he appeared as a contestant in the Love Island villa. The 24-year-old was one of the Casa Amor bombshells during the 2022 summer series won by Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti.
The reality TV star, Ronan's eldest child with his ex wife Yvonne Connolly, shared a black-and-white photo of himself cradling the newborn baby. He wrote in the caption: "Welcome to the world my little [princess emoji]."

The Boyzone heartthrob wrote in the comments section: "Little cutie," alongside a heart emoji. After introducing their guests on the BBC One chat show, Roman discussed his new role on Monday (March 20), and he jokingly corrected Jermaine as he called him “grandad", saying he prefered another name.
Ronan said: "If you've any comments or questions from our guests, all the details are on the screen now." And Jermaine quipped: “Well said, grandad."
Ronan jokily warned: “Oi," and Jermaine replied: “You’re a grandad now." Ronan, who is married to TV director and producer and fashion designer Storm Keating, confirmed: "I am yes. My son had a gorgeous baby and Storm and I are grandparents." Jermaine asked: "Would you prefer to be called something else?" and Ronan replied: "Pops. We'll go with that."
The show's official Twitter went along with that name, announcing: "Welcome to your Monday One Show with @ronanofficial AKA 'Pops' and @jjenas8!"
