Ronan Keating deletes complaint about British Airways after witty quip on Twitter

A hilarious response to Ronan Keating’s complaints about missing bags has gone viral on Twitter.

The 45-year-old pop singer complained to British Airways after his son was allegedly removed from an overbooked flight. He slammed the airline in a since deleted Tweet for subsequently losing his son’s luggage on top of the original incident, calling their actions “disgusting.”

However, a Twitter user was quick to tease Keating by quoting the powerful lyrics of Boyzone’s 1995 cover of ‘Father and Son’ directly underneath the Tweet. The response directly referenced Ronan’s anger as a result of the missing luggage.

The tweet’s author Cian brilliantly captioned: “I know it’s not easy. To be calm when you found something going on. But take your time. Think a lot. Think of everything you got. For you will still be here tomorrow. But your son’s bags will not.”

The jibe has since gone viral on social media, but the original tweet predates back to 2018. However, It remained on his timeline until Cian's recent response. The original Tweet was subject to similar mockery, with one user writing that British Airways "say it best when they say nothing at all."

The airline did apologise to Ronan Keating over the incident. However, the singer remained unimpressed by the delay to his son’s flight. He argued that he “may as well fly Ryanair” for his future travels and slammed staff for their alleged poor customer service.

The singer was likely referring to his adult son Jack in the post, who has since entered the limelight after competing in the most recent series of Love Island. Ronan also a second son, 5-year-old Cooper, with his wife Storm Keating.
