Ronan Keating addresses rumours his daughter Missy, 21, is entering Love Island villa

Ronan Keating has addressed rumours that his daughter Missy is set to appear on Love Island 2022.

The Boyzone star’s daughter has long been rumoured to join the popular dating show, which has made the likes of Maura Higgins and Molly-Mae Hague household names.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the singer shed light on his 21-year-old daughter's stance on the iconic reality TV show.

The 45-year-old star revealed that he hadn’t 'heard anything' about his daughter going on Love Island, but teased 'you never know' what might happen.

Good Morning Britain host Ben Shepard admitted that he was excited at the prospect of Ronan's daughter appearing on the dating show - but the former Boyzone singer gave nothing away.

“I’m very excited as you know, I am a watcher of television, to hear the rumour that Missy your daughter may be making her way onto Love Island," Ben said.

“Is there any truth, will we be watching her on the new series," he added.

To which Ronan replied: "I haven’t heard anything but you never know, these kids are busy.

"All my kids they’re all busy doing different things, I haven’t heard anything myself at the moment.”

Ronan went on to admit that is his daughter did end up appearing on the show, he wouldn't be able to watch it.

"Yeah I don’t know how I feel about that one. I wouldn’t be able to watch," he admitted.

Ronan shares daughter Missy, 21, with his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly.

Missy had her first taste of reality TV when she took part in Dancing with the Stars Ireland earlier this year, but rumours have been swirling in recent weeks that the single star is set to take part in series eight of the ITV show.

In August 2020, Missy, 21, admitted she was approached by Love Island producers.

However, she was in relationship at the time.

She told the Irish Mail on Sunday, “Last year when I was in London they did contact me but I was in a relationship so it was a no, I don’t know where the whole thing came from this year.

“It was never on the cards and probably never will. Love Island is not really a show for me, maybe other shows but no, I’m a taken lady.”
