Roman Kemp makes cutting remark as he reveals his bike has been stolen

Roman Kemp had a terrible start to the week when his back was stolen.

The radio and TV presenter, 30, took to Twitter to share his misfortune with his followers and friends, prompting an outcry of support.

In a post shared at 6.34am, Roman said: "Happy Monday to the person that has stolen my bike."

A supporter wrote: "Oh! no Roman hope they find it and them x"

Another said: "Oh no. What’s a matter with people! Try & have a good day x"

A third supporter simply posted: "Happy Monday Roman, so sorry to hear this some people are unbelievable!! Fingers crossed you get it back in one piece."

Roman had to think on his feet earlier this month while presenting The One Show, after a guest swore live on air.

Actor Zachary Levi made the blunder in the BBC studio while appearing on the evening programme alongside Dame Helen Mirren.

Roman was hosting the show alongside Alex Jones as they interviewed the actors about the upcoming movie Shazam 2, a sequel to the 2019 original.

However, when Zachary launched into a personal speech about his female co-stars, he breached the Ofcom guidelines about profanity before the evening watershed at 9pm.

The actor said: “You add to the mix the incredibly beautiful, talented women: Helen Mirren and Lucy Lu and Rachel Zegler who are all the daughters of Atlas and they are p****d off.”

Host Roman was quick to jump in and apologise to viewers at home, as Zachary was none the wiser as to what had actually been foul language.

Speaking to the camera, the host said: “We would just like to apologise for any language that you may have heard a moment ago.

“Certain words mean different things on different sides of the world.”

It comes after a similar on air slip-up on The One Show last month, when Sam Smith was misgendered again as they corrected Alex's 'fisherthem' comment.

The non-binary star appeared on the BBC show where they revealed they have a secret fishing hobby which they'd like to pursue further after music.

Sam said they'd like to become a 'fisher-them' on the programme. However, the popstar had to correct presenter Alex as she asked whether they would like to be a fly fisherman.

Sam, who uses the pronouns they/them, appeared on the show following their Brit Awards performance.

Fellow One Show host Roman asked Sam: "You're a big fan of fishing?"

The singer replied: "I do love fishing, yes! Yeah, I'd love to be a fisher-them."

Alex asked them: "What, like a fly fisherman?" Sam corrected her by saying: "I'd be any type of fisher-them.

"I think I would like to, one day, I'd just like to end my days fishing. Like sitting on a bank."

They added: "I do it on the sea and I do it on lakes. I've never done it alone, someone's almost taught me."
