Roman Abramovich is planning to sell Chelsea due to the increasing pressure associated with the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Chelsea owner has been the custodian of the club since 2003 and has invested heavily into the squad meaning the likes of Arsenal simply could not compete in the transfer market. However, this could soon be about to change with the sale coinciding with the Gunners’ increasing spending on players showing little sign of slowing.
Arsenal are pushing for a striker and central midfield upgrade in the summer and with Chelsea’s uncertain future possibly affecting their capacity to spend, the Gunners should be looking opportunistically towards a number of Blues targets.
