Roland Garros does not begin until May 25, 2025, but the French Open tennis tournament has won Christmas on social media. Not to be outdone by Wimbledon which featured a beautiful Christmas tree with framed pictures of the champions on the wall beside it, Roland Garros took it one step further.

By the Christmas tree are the defending champions Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz enjoying their trophies. Looking on from the door is Santa Claus also known as Rafael Nadal. Nadal’s bag contains presents, but it would have been appropriate to put his 14 French Open trophies in there also.
The best present they could ever ask for 🎁

No one knows if Swiatek and Alcaraz are this generation’s Queen and King of Clay. Qinwen Zheng is the Olympic Champion on the Roland Garros clay. Men’s singles Olympic Champion Novak Djokovic is seeking his 100th career title. Might it happen at this year’s French Open?
While tennis fans are focusing on the upcoming Australian Open, the French Open is doing its best to be in the front of mind for fans. The 2025 tournament poster was recently released.

It seems oddsmakers are not fully convinced that Rafael Nadal is retired since he is seventh among the men having the best odds to win the 2025 French Open. Oddsmakers’ favorite is Jannik Sinner who was the best player in 2024. Can he win a maiden French Open in 2025?
