General thoughts
We defended our try line particularly well. Overall our attack was good. Clearly we had some tough moments defusing the kick, the one at the goalposts, we had plenty of bodies there and it just bounced the wrong way. Sometimes that's the way the game goes. The way the second half started was particularly disappointing with that moment that led to that try.
But I thought there was a lot of effort. We defended well, we had 100 and something plays to 50 in the first half but we still didn't look fatigued, we were right in it, we were coming home reasonably well at least.
The back line
It's probably where you don't want to be playing tonight with the rain coming in sideways and against the premier kicker in the competition. He's got an array of them and he was connecting with them well tonight. We need to be better, but overall we defended well and put a lot of effort in, but had some moments.

Derrell Olpherts and Luke Hooley
The best way to learn is through experience in life. It's not what happens to you it's what you do about it. You put your head down and work hard. Some of the best players in the world have had bad nights. That's in every sport. That's the way it goes. It's a team event and we need to clean up the scraps. It's a team activity defending kicks, not just the back three. So we've to be better at that but they'll bounce back.
Doing more to negate the kick threat
The way the first try we should have been protecting the in-goal area as well as trying to escort or shield the catcher. The second one, the goalpost one, and some of the other ones they were both going for them and getting in each other's way. They were both eager. It's a tough gig in tough conditions.

Last night.
David Fusitu'a injury
I haven't asked but for those types of injuries when someone like Fus needs help limping off, it's going to be a medium-term injury minimum. That's not good. He's been finding a little bit of rhythm but we'll get him sorted and get him back.
Being unable to get any rhythm
I can put it down to a few things. Conditions were one of them. I thought our retention of the ball was OK mostly, we tried a few times to force the ball out of the tackle.
Positives
I thought there was a lot of resilience. Nothing much going your way, tap out and start again next week. Opportunity at the back end and in the end we're in a few moments where kick defence hurt us but overall I don't think there's too much between the two teams tonight.
