Rogue Soldier favored to win against tough competition at Wolverhampton

Rogue Soldier is a strong contender in the Always Gamble Responsibly With BetUK Handicap.

In today's exciting race card at Wolverhampton, there are a plethora of thrilling competitions to look forward to. One of the standout events is the Always Gamble Responsibly With BetUK Handicap, where Rogue Soldier aims to secure a victory for trainer Tom Clover. With stiff competition from Miss Bluebelle, trained by Marcus Tregoning, and Law Supreme, who performed admirably in a recent race, Rogue Soldier will undoubtedly face a tough challenge.

Rogue Soldier, a four-year-old trained by Tom Clover, has already shown promise by winning a maiden over the same course and distance in November. After a short break, he returns to handicap company, where he is anticipated to be a strong contender. Miss Bluebelle, trained by Marcus Tregoning, is entering this race after finishing as a runner-up in her last start, only 1lb higher in the weights. This drop in class should work in her favor. Law Supreme, on the other hand, has recently impressed with a second-place finish in a similar competition at Wolverhampton. This lightly raced horse is sure to bring excitement to the race.

Additionally, we have the opening race of the day, the BetUK. It's Where The UK Bets Handicap, which presents a wide-open field with ten runners holding claims for victory. Novak, trained by Iain Jardine, narrowly missed out on a win in a seven-furlong handicap at this very track last month. With a similar effort, Novak could emerge as a strong contender, racing just 1lb higher in the weights. She's Centimental, who seemed to have lost her way during the summer, has shown signs of a revival in her recent fifth-place finish at Wolverhampton. With the assistance of talented jockey Christian Howarth and an additional 3lb claim, she has an excellent opportunity to secure a victory.

Moving on, we have the BetUK. Home Of The Acca-Fenwa Handicap, where recent winners Tortured Soul and Corsican Caper will clash. Tortured Soul, debuting for trainer Tony Carroll, displayed a powerful finish to secure a victory at Southwell, defeating Uther Pendragon. With the additional furlong at Wolverhampton expected to suit this horse, it is highly likely that Tortured Soul, ridden by top jockey Rossa Ryan, will be a frontrunner in this race. However, Kevin Frost's Corsican Caper cannot be overlooked. Having triumphed over the same runner-up recently, Corsican Caper now races from a 3lb higher mark and poses a significant threat.

Other notable contenders worth mentioning include Bright, trained by Mark Loughnane, who has placed in all three of his previous all-weather starts. This horse may demonstrate further improvement in this handicap race. Another horse to watch out for is One More Wave, trained by Jonathan Portman, who exhibited great potential despite finishing sixth in December at Kempton. With impressive performances in the past, One More Wave can be a strong contender if he reproduces similar efforts.

Lastly, let's not forget about Trusty Scout, trained by Derek Shaw. Known for his consistency, Trusty Scout should not be underestimated, especially with the advantage of a drop in class.

Don't miss out on any of the thrilling races today at Wolverhampton. You can watch every exhilarating moment live on Sky Sports Racing.
