Sir Rod Stewart has responded after fans noticed he had an unusual lookalike.
The Maggie May singer seemed to take the Twitter joke in good spirits, after an account shared a photo of a bunker in a hill surrounded by grass. The grass on top of the bunker appears to resemble Rod's iconic spikey blonde hair, as the account wrote: "Rod Stewart is looking well".
The 77-year-old came across the hilarious comparison, and wrote: "F*** sake," alongside a laughing emoji showing he sees the funny side to his lookalike. The hilarious quip has racked up an impressive 451.8k likes, and 34k retweets as fans appreciated the joke.
Fans loved the comical comparison, and took to the comments. One wrote: "Seriously!! Everyone knows that’s David Bowie!!" Another quoted some lyrics from his song Stay With Me as they wrote: "With a face like that, you got nothin' to laugh about".
"Every bunker tells a story, don't it?," a third penned. A fourth wrote: "Love your sense of humor!! But I do love me some Rod Stewart!! That voice!" Another praised Rod as they wrote: "Nice to see a celebrity embracing humour. Good on you Rod".
This comes after Sir Rod appeared to mock Elton John on stage and shared a clip to his social media. The Do Ya Think I'm Sexy hitmaker shared a clip where he can be seen mimicking the way Elton, 75, plays the piano. Rod, 77, had on a dramatic pair of perfectly round sunglasses which were covered in silver sequins, a nod to the Rocketman singer's eccentric fashion statements.
Rod then proceeded to stick out his teeth and pull a serious face as he pretended to bash out a tune on a piano as he reignites their 55-year feud. After sharing the clip to Instagram, Rod backtracked as he penned "Still love you, Elt. Rod xxx," in the caption.
Fans loved the cheeky jibe aimed at Rod's 'frenemy' after the pair's decades long sparring battle. "Hmm wonder if Et will have a response lol," one user said while another added: "Omg im going mental laughing Rod so cool." One user posted: "K don't make that face Rod," along with a laughing emoji.
