Sir Rod Stewart has wished his fellow Scots a happy Burns Night in a hilarious video on social media. The Maggie May crooner is stood behind a bar beside his son, Liam, in the clip on Instagram.
Celtic-daft Rod is wearing in a red tartan blazer and white shirt, with a Glengarry on his head, as he holds a drink in his right hand. Liam is a green-coloured tartan scarf and hat on his head.
In the clip, shared with his 1.2m followers, Rod says: "Hello everybody, Happy Burns Night. This is Rod Stewart and his son Liam. And we used to celebrate Burns Night with my dad, your grandfather. And I want you to have a great night. This is your favourite Cockney, Scotsman wishing you a happy Burns Night. Cheers mate."
Moments later the lights above Rod and Liam start to flicker, before the 78-year-old joked about having not paid the electricity bill. Plunged into darkness, he said: "What's happened. We didn't pay the electricity bill. All the lights have gone off."
Many of his fans have been quick to respond, with one saying: "Glad to see the lights went off saving electricity."
Another added: "Happy burns night Rod" A third said: "Happy Burns night to you and your family and all the Scottish people around the country and world" A fourth penned: "Brilliant. Enjoy"
