Sir Rod Stewart appeared to congratulate King Charles for his recent state visit to the US, telling the monarch had put "that little ratbag in his place". The candid remark in relation to President Trump was made during the interval of an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the King’s Trust at the Royal Albert Hall.
Addressing Charles during a line-up, the veteran singer declared: "May I say, well done in the Americas. You were superb, absolutely superb, put that little ratbag in his place." The King, for his part, appeared to laugh off the comment on Monday evening, with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood seen grinning beside him.
