Rockstar Games announces GTA 6 extended reveal on Netflix

Rockstar Games has announced that the next look at the most anticipated game of the year–if not the decade–is coming in the form of a special on Netflix.

Titled “An Extended Look”, the next look at Grand Theft Auto 6 premieres on August 27 at 3pm ET.

How to watch the GTA 6 Netflix special?

There are multiple ways to watch the upcoming special, though it will first premiere on Netflix so anyone looking for news as early as possible will have to subscribe to Netflix.

Anyone sans a membership to the streaming platform can watch three hours later on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel or the GTA 6 website at 9pm ET.

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will also launch on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9 p.m. ET on August 27.

What has Rockstar revealed so far?

Rockstar hasn’t revealed any details about what will be showcased in this Netflix special, but fans are more than eager for any news considering only two short trailers have been released so far for the game, with the most recent all the way back in May 2025. The Netflix page for the special doesn’t hint much towards what it will show or even the runtime, as it simply states in the description, “Coming August 27: See an extended look at “Grand Theft Auto VI”, the next evolution in the groundbreaking “Grand Theft Auto” series.”

That most recent trailer showed more of what life is like in Vice City for Jason and his partner (both in crime and romantically) Lucia as they look to secure a better life for themselves through less-than-legal means.

Rockstar has also confirmed the price of GTA 6, which includes different prices for special editions.
