Rockpoint Leisure CEO Daniel Davies has revealed he has been diagnosed with cancer - but added it wouldn't stop his commitment to New Brighton.
Mr Davies posted on his social media page about his recent diagnosis after being in-and-out of hospital over the last three months.
The Rockpoint Leisure CEO, who has been instrumental in the huge regeneration transforming New Brighton, said he will start chemotherapy later this month.

In the full post on his Twitter page, Mr Davies said: "After spending the last two months in-and-out of hospital, I have the diagnosis. Hodgkin Lymphoma.
"On the 26th I start 6 months of chemo. I might miss some meetings but my commitment to Institute of Licencing, UK Hospitality, Together and New Brighton is solid.
"New Brighton keeps me up at night, not cancer."
Support for Mr Davies was quick to flood in following his post.
One well-wisher wrote: "You’re a brave warrior Dan and I know you’ll continue with all the love and support of so many around you. Always here buddy."
Another wrote: "Horrible news, but sending best wishes for a full recovery! Your drive and determination will see you through!"
And another added: "We are sending love Dan and know how strong you are. You’re a champion & constant beacon."
Mr Davies told the ECHO in September 2021 he had invested over £6m into transforming his hometown through his business Rockpoint Leisure.
Dubbing the area new New Brighton, Mr Davies has opened a number of independent businesses on Victoria Road to give residents and visitors places to shop, eat and drink.
Also as landlord of the pub formerly known as the James Atherton, Mr Davies has amused people by changing its name in a jibe against the government.
It was suggested last week the pub would be rebranded as 'The Lying B*****d' following revelations about Downing Street drinks parties.
