TV star Robson Green and his Teesside born actor friend Mark Benton were spotted filming at a beloved North East beach at the weekend.
The pair, alongside a camera crew were seen enjoying ice cream in Saltburn, raising questions as to what they were up to in the area.
Star of Soldier Soldier and Grantchester, Robson took to social media to explain why the pair were visiting.

Teesside Live reports that he told his 40,000 followers on Instagram that the duo are currently recording a brand-new BBC series which showcases the region. Teesside's hidden gems will feature, said the actor, who went on to describe Saltburn-by-the-Sea as 'beautiful'.
Together with Mark, who was born and raised in Eston, he posted a candid snap of the duo walking the sands by the pier tucking into sweet treats, as well as standing on the top promenade near the famous cliff tramway. Robson also went on to post photos of the two wearing wet suits, and partaking in some open water swimming at an unidentified location.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Had the best week filming with Mark Benton on an episode of our new BBC series that showcases the North East. Mark showed me around the roads less travelled in Teesside as we discovered the hidden gems of this beautiful area.
"An incredibly joyous and entertaining few days with someone who is still very proud to call this part of the world home."
Long-time fans will recognise that the pair starred in Northern Lights together - a series about two competitive brothers. Mark, as many Teessiders know, grew up nearby - and went on to be educated at the Sarah Metcalfe School in Eston.
He has featured in a number of series and is a familiar face on TV screens across the United Kingdom, including Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 - where he partnered with Lithuanian pro Iveta Lukosiute. And Robson and Mark aren't the only two famous faces who have been spotted across the North East in recent weeks - with Jonathan Ross supping a beer in Whitby back in July, and Brenda Blethyn - DCI Vera Stanhope herself - spotted filming the ITV show at Hartlepool train station.
Jane McDonald also filmed an episode of her 'My Yorkshire' series in Whitby, which aired in March 2022 - with Saltburn also featuring on TV in Fred and Nadiya's Remarkable Places to Eat in 2021.
TV chef Gordon Ramsay was also seen in Newcastle a matter of weeks ago - enjoying a meal with his production team at Khai Khai before taking a leisurely stroll along the Quayside.
