Roberto Firmino’s stance made clear amid reported Juventus interest
Speculation has been rife with regards to the future of Roberto Firmino who has now attracted interest from Juventus.
The Brazilian’s current deal at Anfield ends in 2023 and the Reds’ acquisition of Darwin Nunez has lead to reports that Firmino could move on - Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport has even suggested a £19million offer has been made by the Old Lady.
But the ECHO understands otherwise, and Firmino has already made his stance clear, stating before May’s Champions League final that he wishes to stay.

“I want to stay,” he admitted when speaking to Brazilian outlet TNT Sports Brasil. "I’m very happy here. I’m grateful to God to be here playing at a great club with great players, winning titles, and my wish is to stay.
“I want to be here, I’m happy here, and that’s all I can say. I want to stay.”

Anfield's new teenage star quickly got his own back, nutmegging the Belgian full-back as part of an accomplished performance on the left-wing.
The same could not be said, however, for Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan suffered a frustrating night in red, seeing a host of shots drift wide, hit the bar or get blocked.
