Roberto Firmino has posted a message on social media to thank his supporters for all of the 'lovely messages' he has received after World Cup heartbreak with Brazil.
The Liverpool forward found out on Monday afternoon that he would not be travelling to the Qatar World Cup after being excluded from the Brazil squad bidding to win it's sixth competition.
Brazil boss Tite opted against taking Firmino to Qatar despite him being the highest scoring Brazilian in the Premier League so far this campaign.

In 12 games in the league this season, Firmino has found the net six times and made three assists - more than Arsenal duo Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, Manchester United's Antony and Tottenham's Richarlison.
Firmino posted: "Passing by to say thank you for all the lovely messages. The World Cup is a dream for every player and with me, it wouldn't be any different. Yesterday, things didn't go the way I imagined or dreamed for my life, but I can look back and have a grateful heart to God that he has already allowed me to live that dream as well as so many others."
The Brazilian is now set to travel to Dubai with the Liverpool squad who are not involved in the World Cup as they prepare for the remainder of the season.
