Roberto De Zerbi opens up on Marcelo Bielsa influence ahead of Leeds United

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that Leeds United's legendary former boss Marcelo Bielsa is one of his 'favourites coaches'.

De Zerbi will take his Brighton players to Elland Road fresh off the back of a resounding 4-0 victory over Premier League strugglers West Ham United at the Amex.

The Italian spent one week with Bielsa at Lille in 2017 in order to learn new coaching methods and has been a long-time admirer of the Argentine. He is now looking forward to the challenge of playing at the home of Bielsa's former club.

"I am looking forward to play at their stadium because I know the history of Leeds. One of my favourites coaches is Bielsa and I watched a lot of games when he worked at Leeds," De Zerbi said.

"If we want to continue our dreams, we have to win tomorrow. It's very difficult the game in Leeds. We know what we can expect but we know in the same way we have a quality to win.

"Now we have a complete squad. There are many young players who are in progress and we are stronger."
