Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy has announced that he has gathered enough signatures to secure a spot on the ballot in all 50 states for the upcoming election. Kennedy expressed confidence in his eligibility nationwide, stating that while some states are still in the process of certifying the signatures, he is certain that he will be on the ballot in every state.
When questioned about the delay in being officially registered on the ballot in only eight states so far, Kennedy attributed the hold-up to state governments' certification timelines. He emphasized that the signatures have been submitted and accepted, and he expects them to be certified in due course.
A recent survey conducted by Ipsos revealed that Kennedy is polling at around 5% among voters in seven crucial swing states, namely Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada. While Kennedy's support base is relatively small, it could play a significant role in a closely contested race.
In the same swing state poll, Vice President Kamala Harris garnered 42% of the vote share in the seven swing states, while former President Trump received 40%. The survey results indicate a tight race between the two main party candidates, with Kennedy's presence potentially influencing the outcome.
