Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is set to reveal his running mate for his independent presidential campaign on March 26 in Oakland, California, according to his campaign. The announcement comes early due to ballot access regulations in various states that necessitate independent candidates to name their vice presidential choices before proceeding.

While the specific individual has not been disclosed, Kennedy mentioned to The New York Times that NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura are leading contenders for the position. Kennedy, who initially launched his campaign as a primary challenger to Democratic President Joe Biden, later shifted gears to run as an independent.
