Robert De Niro has opened up on whether he'll plan special playdates with his good friend and fellow Hollywood star Al Pacino as they take on fatherhood once again.
Taxi Driver star Robert, 79, and his partner Tiffany Chen welcomed their newborn daughter Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro, in April this year. While this is Robert's first child with Tiffany, he is also the father of six other children from previous relationships.
Meanwhile, Al Pacino, 83, who starred alongside Robert in the classic film The Godfather, is expecting his fourth child and first with 29-year-old Noor Alfallah. TV producer Noor is said to be eight months pregnant and initially started dating the Scarface star in April last year.
And during a recent interview with Extra at the Tribeca Festival, Robert was asked whether he would get together with Al and their "youngest kids" for playdates.
"Good question," the Oscar winner said before adding: "Floor play."
When asked about his plans for Father's Day on June 18, Robert revealed that he would spend time "just simply, with everyone". Speaking directly about fatherhood and having a baby, he also cheekily quipped: "I'm going to have a new one every year."
When quizzed on whether he was changing diapers, the icon admitted: "Not quite yet, but I am getting there."
Robert announced the birth of his seventh child during an interview with ET Canada in April whilst promoting his upcoming comedy film About My Father.
He shared the news after the interviewer said, "I know you have six kids." Robert corrected them by revealing: "Seven, actually." He then added: "I just had a baby".
The actor shares his eldest two children with his first wife Diahnne Abbott. The former couple - who were married from 1976 until 1988 - are parents to Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46.
He has twin sons, Julian and Aaron, 27, with his former partner Toukie Smith. They're understood to have been in a relationship from around 1988 until they separated in 1996.
Robert also shares son Elliot, 25, and daughter Helen, 11, with fellow actor Grace Hightower. The former couple got married in 1997 but later reportedly separated in around 2018.
Meanwhile, last month it was announced that Academy Award winner Al was expecting his first child with 29-year-old Noor Alfallah.
Al already shares 22-year-old twins Olivia Pacino and Anton James Pacino with National Lampoon star Beverly D'Angelo and first became a dad when Jan Tarrant gave birth to Julie Pacino 33 years ago.
But the soon-to-be latest addition to his brood wasn't one he had planned.
Sources close to the star told TMZ that Noor's pregnancy was a total surprise to the actor, who wasn't prepared for baby number four - especially not just months into their relationship.
The pair were able to keep their news under wraps despite being spotted out in public several times in recent months. They are yet to reveal whether they know the sex of the baby.
