Hearts manager Robbie Neilson has hit out at a VAR 'shambles' in their 1-1 draw with Livingston.
The Premiership clash is the last the Jambos will play until the World Cup break subsides next month and again it was packed with controversy thanks to the top flight's new technology. Kye Rowles was sent off after being deemed to have denied Joel Nouble a clear goalscoring opportunity, Craig Gordon saving Sean Kelly's resulting penalty after Stephen Kelly initially put David Martindale's men in front.
Alex Cochrane then escaped a red card after a lengthy VAR check before Josh Ginnelly struck after 97 minutes to seal a last-gasp point for the 10-man Hearts side. Neilson said things have to improve after several delays to the game: "It was a shambles, wasn't it? We've got this period now where hopefully it gets better. We don't need three or four minutes to check every single decision. It needs to be done a lot quicker.

"Anyone can watch a video and within three replays make a decision. Then it gets fired back. But we're stopping the game for everything. It's got to get better because that's going to kill football.
"We've got a VAR check on Alex Cochrane for a potential red card and it takes four minutes to get it done. God knows how many times he needs to watch it. Then when it's done we get the throw in.
"Surely if you're stopping it for that time it has to be a foul first and foremost. Honestly, you could be here all day talking about it."
