Robbie Benson and Isobel Finnegan both fail to get red cards overturned

Robbie Benson FAI Dundalk DLR Waves Shamrock Rovers

Robbie Benson will have to serve a two-match ban for his red card during last Friday’s Premier Division defeat to Shamrock Rovers.

Dundalk appealed the decision to send the midfielder off. However, an independent Appeal Committee of the FAI rejected the plea.

“In accordance with the FAI Disciplinary Regulations, Robbie Benson will serve a two-match suspension,” read a statement from the League of Ireland.
