Robbie Benson will have to serve a two-match ban for his red card during last Friday’s Premier Division defeat to Shamrock Rovers.
Dundalk appealed the decision to send the midfielder off. However, an independent Appeal Committee of the FAI rejected the plea.
“In accordance with the FAI Disciplinary Regulations, Robbie Benson will serve a two-match suspension,” read a statement from the League of Ireland.
DLR Waves’ appeal for wrongful dismissal, on behalf of Isobel Finnegan, was also rejected.
She was dismissed during their Women’s Premier Division clash with Bohemians on March 29. Finnegan must now serve a three-match ban.
