Roadworks to prepare for major 3,000 home development near Clifton

Further roadworks are set to begin to improve the existing access road and create a new route for the new 3,000 home development. The increase roadworks will begin on Monday, September 5, off Mill Hill roundabout and on the Clifton South tram terminus access road, from the A453 Remembrance Way.

The works are taking place to prepare for the new £800m Fairham neighbourhood, Clifton Pastures south of Clifton, near the village of Barton-in-Fabis. Day and night time works will increase from next week and hope to be completed in April 2023, in order to create the new access road and controlled junction, and improved access to the existing Park and Ride in Clifton.

While the roadworks are ongoing, access to and from the Clifton South Park and Ride will be maintained at all times to keep traffic flowing whilst the roadworks for new earthworks, carriageway and signalisation takes place. Construction traffic will be rerouted away from civilian traffic during the works.
